Happy St. Valentine's Day

Prayer to St. Valentine

Almighty God, grant we beseech You,
that we who celebrate the glorious martyrdom of St. Valentine, Your
servant, may by his intercession be filled with the love of God and
neighbor and be delivered from all the evils that threaten us.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Quick Valentine Treat

I attend a Mom's Group at a local church.
The group is a spin off of MOPS.

I wanted to make the child care workers something
to show my appreciation for them being there.

I have been coupon shopping and knew I HAD to have something...
Also, I didn't want to stop at the store to buy anything.

Then I thought of these!
On sale for $ .99/box and purchased for $.50/box because I had a coupon!
Yeah ME!!

I made a cute sticker that said,
"Will you be my Love Bug?"
And also added the "littles" names!

Adorable and CHEAP!!
And,I made 16 for under a Dollar!!

Can I get a Whoot-Whoot??

It's mostly made up of cool ideas I have seen on other blogs...Check it out!

Yesterday, Cookie Man asked me if I still wanted to make my blog to a book.
I told him yes!!
He said "Happy Valentine's Day"!!

Woo-Hoo!
I am so excited!!

I first saw the idea here!

It was awesome designing it!
I made ours into one big book for 2010!

I'm excited to share it with the kids...I know they are going to love looking at pictures of themselves!

Note to self...
add more pictures of yourself and Cookie Man!!!

February Play Dough and Sensory Tub

When I saw these sensory tubs at 1+1+1=1 and Counting Coconuts
I knew Red was definitely going to be the theme for our Sensory tub!
I couldn't believe how many little red things I had!
(I still would like to add small filler/ pony beads.)

This has definitely been a winner in our house!

I also loved the idea, again from Counting Coconuts,
for Chocolate Scented Play Dough!
Yes!! It does smell yummy!

CHOCOLATE SCENTED PLAY DOUGH
Flour
Cocoa powder
Salt
Cream of tartar
Cooking oil
Boiling water
Mix 1 1/4 cups of flour, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1/2 cup salt, 1/2
Tablespoon cream of tartar. Add 1 1/2 Tablespoons cooking oil, 1 cup
boiling water.
Stir quickly, mix well. Cook over low heat until dough forms a ball.
When cool, mix with your hands. Store in airtight container.

Recipe from here.
